A patent pending complete sliding-door cable management system to deliver power to smart glass or smart film as the door moves, preventing sag and cable fatigue.

This system uses a tensioned steel guide cable that moves with the door, creating a controlled pathway for the attached low-voltage coil wire. As the door opens or closes, the system automatically manages the wire travel—keeping everything tidy, protected, and out of sight.

Designed to power any type of sliding door with Smart Film or Glass. All glass, framed, stacked, or accordion style, this system extends and contracts with door operation. As the device extends, it pulls a track and coil wire in unison, which eliminates the sag typically found when using coil wire alone.

This device can be installed in two different ways:

• Method 1 applies the extendable end to the operable door itself. As the door slides, it extends a track and coil wire. This method keeps a constant pulling pressure applied to the coil wire, which allows it to retract tightly.
• Method 2 applies the extendable end to a stationary section. This method removes tension, and creates a permanent non moving track for the coil wire to follow. 

Updated Version 2 introduces increased wire tension of 3lbs, and also improved durability. Tested to over 10k sliding door operations. Both ends of the device now include strong adhesive pads which allows suction to the surface of glass. For aluminum or other hard materials, both ends of this device can also be applied with included screws.

The box for this Sliding Door Power Transfer is 3"x2", 0.75" thick. The coil itself is 0.5" in diameter, and extends from 4" to 40".
