Magnet Power

Magnet Power provides a simple, magnetic electrical connection for smart film and smart glass installed on operable doors and windows. Designed specifically to solve power delivery challenges on sliding glass doors, this compact system transfers electrical power between two surfaces when they come into alignment.

Unlike traditional spring-loaded electrical contacts that push against each other and require continuous pressure to maintain a connection, Magnet Power uses magnetically actuated, recessed contact pins that are pulled toward each other when properly aligned.

How Magnet Power Works

The system consists of two compact, surface-mounted housings containing recessed electrical contact pins. When the housings come into proximity and align correctly, magnetic attraction extends the pins from their housings to establish an electrical connection.

When the housings separate, the connection is broken, allowing the door or window to move independently.

Designed for Smart Glass Applications

Originally developed to address the challenges of powering PDLC smart film on sliding glass doors, Magnet Power can also be used in other operable window and door configurations where a temporary electrical connection is required.
